Saying it’s currently a challenge to secure personal protective equipment, or PPE, for local hospitals is an understatement. Here in western Mass, Baystate Health’s quest for PPE made national headlines after Dr. Andrew Artenstein, COVID-19 Incident Commander at Baystate, wrote about it in the New England Journal of Medicine.
