To celebrate the multi-cultural diversity of West Springfield, the town’s Community Development coordinator organized a mural painting on the wall of Merrick Police Station. Over Columbus Day weekend, volunteers joined a local, world-renowned artist known for his work with chalk, to help folks outline their images on the wall. Participants from Myanmar to Russia painted the mural with whatever colors they liked. Brian Sullivan showed up on the first day of this two-day event to get a look at the West Springfield Multicultural Mural.
