As per usual, summertime flew by here at Connecting Point, and it seems like just yesterday we were signing off on our 6th season. We had a wonderful summer, and we hope that all of you enjoyed yours as well. But with the return of autumn comes crisp fall air, colorful foliage, kids back in school, and another season of Connecting Point! And what a season we have in store…
They say all politics is local, and during the month of October, Connecting Point is your source for everything regarding the 2016 elections. Jim Madigan has sat down with national figures like Gov. Bill Richardson, and local media covering the race such as noted photojournalist Barry Goldstein, to talk about the state of the union. Closer to home, Carolee McGrath has explored the ballot questions that effect us right here in Massachusetts, like the potential legalization of marijuana and the proposed cap on charter schools. We’re working hard to keep you informed, and be your trusted source during this crucial election season.

And that’s just for starters: for November we’re going “On the Road” to Southern Vermont, and will explore the communities of our friends and neighbors to the north. We’ll be revisiting old special series, such as our ever-popular “Gone But Not Forgotten” segments. And we’ll have returning favorites, such as our “Making It Here” features, Monte Belmonte’s “Life With Monte” stories and guests like Ron Chimelis from the Springfield Republican.
We’ve got another wonderful year on tap, so please – pull up a chair, settle down in front of your television, computer, or mobile device, and let Connecting Point bring you the stories of the people, places, and ideas that matter most to Western New England right into your home. And remember, if you don’t catch us over the air, you can find us online 24 hours a day!
