Bequeathed in its entirety to the Trustees of Reservations in 1958, Naumkeag is a National Historic Landmark that provides a special link to Berkshires history. This architectural masterpiece is referred to as a 44-room “cottage” and served as a summer retreat for three generations of the Choate family from New York City. Recently the entire grounds underwent a three year multi-million dollar renovation and producer Dave Fraser visited Naumkeag this summer and shares this story.
