The 2020 election resulted in the highest voter turnout ever and the American ballots cast served up several firsts for our nation.

To unpack the results, Dara Kennedy spoke with several experts. Toure, an author and cultural expert, discussed the defining moments of this election that will forever change the United States’ political landscape. Dr. Rachael Cobb, professor of political science and legal studies at Suffolk University and a national expert with the MIT Election Lab, explains why representation matters. Finally, Kennedy speaks with Mary Bentley LaMar, Director of the Alpha Kappa Alpha North Atlantic region, the birthplace of the sorority that Vice President-elect Kamala Harris belonged to.
