When Simon Stevenson left England in 1993 to come to the United States, he did so with the intention of teaching photography. Stevenson started working in restaurants on the side and fell in love with cooking. Before he knew it, Stevenson enrolled in culinary school. Today, he oversees what is arguably one of the busiest kitchens in the area: The UMass Bakeshop. Producer Dave Fraser visited the Bakeshop one very early morning recently to bring us the story.
