Rep. Richard Neal and Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse face off in the first debate in their race for the Mass. First Congressional District Democratic nomination this Monday, August 17th at 7pm. Western Mass can see and hear the debate on New England Public Media’s channel 57 and 88.5FM. The debate will be streaming online at nepm.org, as well as MassLive.com and The Berkshire Eagle’s website.
The match up comes ahead of the September 1st primary election, which will determine the democratic nominee for the First Congressional District. Representatives from the three of debate’s organizers — New England Public Media Executive Producer Tony Dunne; Cynthia Simison, Executive Editor of The Republican; and Kevin Moran, Executive Editor of The Berkshire Eagle — joined Connecting Point’s Ray Hershel for a preview of Monday’s debate.
