East-West Rail study results are in, including a cost estimates for extending commuter train service from western Massachusetts to Boston. According to the preliminary Mass DOT study, east-west rail service will cost between $2 billion to $25 billion. 

Members of the East-West Rail Advisory Committee claim they study is incomplete. Among the things they say are missing: economic benefits and realistic ridership numbers. State Sen.
