When brain scientist Alice Flaherty developed a debilitating compulsion to write — even on the walls of her house — she turned eventually to author William Styron. They’re unique story is now captured in a Radiotopia series called, “The Great God of Depression,” co-produced by local NEPR senior reporter Karen Brown.
