Underage drinking is a serious public health problem in the United States, with alcohol as the most widely used substance among American teens. The West Springfield Care Coalition is sponsoring a community wide town hall meeting on October 23rd to discuss the dangers of teen drinking and offer important prevention information. Connecting Point’s Ray Hershel sat down with Ann Marie Laduzenski, a West Springfield mother who lost her son to a drunk driver, and West Springfield Schools Superintendent Michael Richard to learn more about why teens drink and what’s being done to address this problem.
