For individuals who are deaf and blind, facing a world with new guidelines and mandates due to COVID-19 can be challenging. With mask mandates and social distancing, those who rely on touch or lip-reading encounter difficulties navigating the world like they used to.  

Connecting Point’s Zydalis Bauer spoke with Commissioner David D’Arcangelo from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind about how the organization is supporting their constituents during the pandemic. D’Arcangelo also shared how others can be mindful of the needs of the deaf and blind communities.
