Three weeks after Election Day, President-elect Joe Biden’s administration is taking shape, recently unveiling a series of Cabinet nominations and top White House staffing moves. The General Services Administration has also begun the formal transition process.
Ray Hershel spoke with State Senator Eric Lesser, who worked in the White House as an aide to President Barack Obama, to find out what it’s like in the White House during a transition. Lesser also discussed an issue that is a priority which he shares with Biden: student loan debt. Student loan debt currently surpasses $1.5 trillion dollars in the US and affects 45 million borrowers.
