Sexual harassment is a topic most people would rather avoid talking about, but since the allegations against Harvey Weinstein emerged, sexual harassment has grabbed the headlines and stayed there. Now, companies are focusing on how to address and prevent workplace sexual harassment.
At the Springfield Chamber of Commerce‘s recent Workplace Sexual Harassment Forum at the Colony Club, Attorney Erica Flores spoke about sexual harassment in workplace place, the legal risks of workplace sexual harassment, and the importance of every company having a sexual harassment policy in place. Local business leaders Michelle Abdow, President of Market Mentors in West Springfield, and Karen Markham, former Vice President of Operations and Administration for Rocky’s Ace Hardware, also spoke to the group.
