Thirty-four people were arrested in Springfield at the end of June, as the result of a week- long sweep in which local, state, and federal law enforcement worked together. Several illegal firearms and drug money were also confiscated during the initiative. The crackdown also saw the high-profile arrest of Kaevon Brimfield, a suspect in a Chicopee murder. Carolee McGrath sat down with Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni to learn more about what’s driving this Springfield crime crackdown.
