Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and City Councilors are at odds over refugee resettlement in the city. City councilors want to continue accepting refugees, but Mayor Sarno does not. According to Jewish Family Services of Western Massacusetts, a total of 87 refugees were resettled citywide in 2019.
