Pittsfield’s Silver Lake was long considered a blight in the city, an area synonymous with industrial pollution. However, in the light of recent clean-up efforts, what was once an eyesore and a hazard is now a gem to be enjoyed by city residents. Producer Tony Dunne and videographer Mark Langevin chronicle one resident’s summertime swim in the lake, an act once considered unwise to say the least, just a few short years ago.
