Sen. Lesser on Lack of State COVID-19 Testing in Western Mass

State Senator Eric Lesser weighs in on the latest developments in Massachusetts’ fight against the coronavirus. The Baker administration recently announced that eight new sites would be offering free COVID-19 testing for any state resident through August 14th. However, none of the eight host sites are in western Massachusetts. Senator Lesser is one of several western Mass legislators calling for a free testing site in the area.

Lesser also discusses the controversial police reform bill approved by the Massachusetts Senate earlier this week. Critics have called the proposed bill written in the wake of protests calling for racial equality and an end to brute force used by some officers rushed. While it’s not perfect, Lesser believes the bill is a move in the right direction.
