With schools closed and students learning online, districts are doing their best to keep students connected, both academically and socially. Missing their routines, their friends, and school activities may make some student feel lonely. Over the next few weeks, Connecting Point will highlight how schools are handling this “new normal” of social distancing.
School traditions like prom and graduation have been canceled, pushed off, or re imagined because of the pandemic. To keep students’ spirits up, Ludlow High School got creative with this year’s graduation ceremony. Carolee McGrath was at the unique celebration, which featured the superintendent singing Motley Crue and a town-wide graduation parade to honor Ludlow High’s Class of 2020.
