The School of the Noble Warrior is a martial arts program for kids founded in 2007 by Ahmad Sharif, a 20-year veteran of the Springfield Police Force. Concerned with the lack of positive role models for inner city kids, Sharif started to teach martial arts to his son and a few friends in the basement of the Sharif home.
Since launching the program, Sharif has face plenty of adversity—including personal health issues and trouble finding the right facility to house the program—but he never gave up in his pursuit to be an agent of change for the Springfield community.
