For people who have limited mobility—due to stroke or a spinal cord injury, for example—walking independently again one day can seem unattainable. However, new technology used by physical therapists at Berkshire Medical Center is helping patients make significant gains in their gait—and independence. The technology is known as a robotic exoskeleton, and it’s not cheap. Just one robotic exoskelton costs $160,000. Connecting Point’s Carolee McGrath has more.
