The 6.25 percent sales tax on alcohol in Massachusetts was repealed on January 1, 2011. The money generated $97 million in fiscal 2010 – partially funded abuse prevention and treatment programs across the state.

Linda Sarage, “The Recover Project” Director, Bliss Burg, volunteer of the recovery project and Catherine Doherty, CEO of the Brien Center for Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services in Berkshire County will be our guests to discuss the impact of the repeal on resource and rehabilitation centers in the region.
