Part two of a three part series about the regional bike path system. Tonight’s segment describes the increasing momentum to support and build rail trails in both rural and urban areas. While some trails have matured into commuter zones for citizens and students, other trails are still in the conceptual phase. Liz Stevens of Springfield, who is leading an effort to create a bikeway and rail trail in Springfield, describes the benefits of developing rail trails in our urban communities.
