Post-Overdose Outreach Reporting with NEPR’s Karen Brown

As the opioid epidemic continues, some communities are focusing on keeping the drug users alive, rather than arresting them. One approach gaining traction in Massachusetts is post-overdose outreach, New England Public Radio’s Karen Brown has a four-part series that explores this approach, as well as the reaction to its use by law enforcement and some members of the legal system. She sat down with Connecting Point’s Carrie Saldo to share what she discovered in her report.
