Red, White, and Blue. Stars and Stripes. The Capital Building. These are some of the tried and true components of political campaign branding and logos. But as candidates put their name in the ring for Election 2020, some unconventional logos are popping up. Western New England University Political Science Professor Tim Vercellotti shed light on the historical roots of political campaign branding and explained why the 2020 presidential candidates are shying away from the traditional red, white, and blue.
