Providing quality health care can be a challenge in rural parts of the state. Since 1950, the Hilltown Community Health Centers have provided medical, oral health, and mental health care for individuals and families in the Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts. Today they operate centers in Huntington and Worthington and a school-based center at Gateway Regional High School. Connecting Point’s Jim Madigan talked with Eliza Lake, Executive Director of the Hilltown Community Health Centers, about the history of and vital work performed by this organization bringing health care to residents of the Hilltowns.
