Media Consolidation and Political Partisanship

Over the last several years, local newspapers across the U.S. have shuttered, leaving their communities with limited access to information about what’s going on in their hometowns. In tandem with this media consolidation, Americans are becoming more politically polarized. Carolee McGrath sat down with Scott Blinder, Assistant Professor of Political Science at UMass Amherst, to find more about these trends.
