A new report from the University of Southern California’s Race and Equity Center names Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in North Adams as one of the top public institutions in the nation for serving black students well. But school leaders say there is still work to be done to assure those students stick with the schoolnestled in a small, majority white community—until graduation.
