Pittsfield State Senator Adam Hinds recently riled a bill to a Massachusetts State Recreational office to market recreation in the Commonwealth. Hinds believes increasing the visibility of outdoor activities would be a boost for the western Mass economy. Neighboring states like Vermont and New York have marketed similar activities in their states for years. Eighteen legislatorsโ€”including State Rep. Natalie Blaisโ€”have sponsored the bill. Connecting Pointโ€™s Ray Hershel sat down with Senator Hinds and Representative Blais to talk about how a new state recreation office would benefit the local economy. ย
