The use of Native American imagery in state and municipal symbols has come under fire over the past few years, with many questioning their appropriateness. At a town hall in March, Elizabeth Warren said the state of Mississippi should change its flag to get rid of the Confederate symbols that summon a painful racial past. No one asked her about the Massachusetts state flag, but as Connecting Point’s Arun Rath reports, it is also facing increased scrutiny.
