Once again, the Massachusetts Legislature has failed to finalize a state budget by the beginning of the new fiscal year on July 1st. An interim budget funding state programs through the end of July passed both the House and Senate as both sides continue to try and hammer out a compromise that will be submitted to Governor Charlie Baker and signed into law. So why is the budget late again? Ray Hershel sat down with State Representative Joseph Wagner (D), the assistant majority leader in the House and State Senator Eric Lesser (D), to get some answers about the Massachusetts State Budget delay from both the House and senate sides.
