When Charles and Rose Flachs decided transition out of successful careers as professional ballet dancers, they wanted to settle down in western New England. The Flachs found a mill building in Holyoke leasing space and knew it would be the perfect spot for a dance studio. This year, their studio, the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet, will turn fifteen. That anniversary will be marked this Saturday with a Gala at Open Square in Holyoke. Producer Dave Fraser visited the Academy and learned how the Flachs are sharing their passion for classical ballet with the next generation of dancers.
