For many of you, you may remember a popular series produced here at WGBY called Making It Here. Host George Murphy traveled the region in search of people who did what most of us do every day; we go to work. From a Milkman who is up at 4 in the morning every day making his deliveries to a special effects legend who calls the Berkshires his home, Making It Here chronicled the energy, the struggles, the accomplishments and the personalities that make our work so important to us.

I am happy to say that we are continuing to bring you stories like that on our Connecting Point program. Twice a month Connecting Point Producers will set out in search of people doing amazing things in this region. We have already started and perhaps you have seen the story of Pierce Brothers Coffee in Greenfield, two brothers who took a dream of running their own business and made it a reality. We have also shared the story of the revitalization of Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro Vermont and most recently we introduced you to J.Paul Lanza of Simsbury Connecticut, a retired home builder who now makes sea chests and ships them all over the country.

As always if you don’t happen to see these stories on air they are available on line and if you know of someone who is Making It Here, email us we would love to feature them on an upcoming program.
