Bullying is a behavioral issue most schools — and students — struggle to address. Now, there’s a new tool school communities can use to confront bullying: a smartphone app. In the Berkshire County town of Lenox, the school district recently introduced a free “anonymous alert” app students and faculty can use to report potential bullying incidents. Superintendent of Lenox Public Schools Dr. Kimberly Merrick and anti-bullying advocate Edward Zemba, president of Unify Against Bullying, discuss this new approach to addressing school bullying in the 21st century.
