The PACE model of care, or Programs All Inclusive Care for the Elderly, is one option for families caring for aging parents.  PACE is a Medicare program which helps people stay in their homes. The program offers offering primary care, physical therapy, recreation, meals and transportation to elderly participants who otherwise would qualify for a nursing home. Mercy LIFE in West Springfield is home to a PACE program. Connecting Point producers Carolee McGrath and Ross Lippman caught up with Santa Nataloni, a 96 years young Wilbraham resident, who is “setting the pace” at Mercy Life.
