New research shows that women are leaving STEM careers—jobs in science, technology, engineering & mathafter the birth of their first child.  According to the journal NATURE, more than 40% of new moms leave STEM jobs. UMass Amherst Sociology Professor Joya Misra joined Carolee McGrath to discuss efforts focused on keeping moms in STEM jobs, and efforts to recruit more women to the field.
