Like many people, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival leaders were initially hopeful the novel coronavirus’s impact on the Pillow’s planned events would be short-lived. But last month, they realized it would be difficult to open the new season due to the pandemic. The Becket-based institution announced their annual festival would be canceled and the remaining staff would be moved to part time.
