In 2016, the Jonah Family lost their 19-year-old son Jack to the opioid epidemic. Since then, the Jonahs have worked to both keep Jack’s memory alive and to help other families avoid the pain their family has gone through. The Jonahs are working with JC Films to produce a film about Jack’s life, which is filming in western Massachusetts. Carolee McGrath went on-location as the Jack Jonah film shot in Holyoke. While there, she spoke with Jack’s father Kirk Jonah and actor Dean Cain to learn more about the project and what it means to them.
