After data revealed an early literacy crisis in Holyoke, OneHolyoke Community Development Corporation looked at how to address this issue. Earlier this year, OneHolyoke launched a social media and event campaign called, Holyoke—A City that Reads. By enlisting city leaders and residents to model the value of reading and other various activities, the program engages the Paper City’s youngest readers.
