Two Springfield community organizations are each receiving $800,000 to reduce gun violence among teens and young adults. The gun violence prevention funding is part of an $8 million-dollar state grant program awarded to ten community organization across the Commonwealth. Connecting Point’s Ray Hershel sat down with ROCA of Western Massachusetts’ Christine Judd and Joesiah Gonzalez, Director of Youth Programs at the New North Citizens Council, to talk about how the grants will be used to reduce gun violence among teens.
