Jeremy Davis, founder of the New England Lost Ski Areas Project (NELSAP) introduces his organization’s work. The NELSAP is an online website that preserves the history of local ski areas no longer in operation.
There are 62 ski areas in Western Massachusetts that are no longer in operation. The CP crew visits several of them, including the former Berkshire Snow Basin in Cummington (closed in 1985) and the Mount Tom Ski Area in Holyoke (closed in 1998).
