Encouraged by his older brother, Joseph Callahan first became active in politics as a student at West Springfield High School. Joseph identifies as a youth political activist and has been involved in local politics since 2015. He’s worked with both West Springfield High School Democrats and his town’s Democratic Committee and served as a delegate to the Massachusetts Democratic State Convention.

Joseph joined Zydalis Bauer to talk about why it’s important for young voters to get out and vote this year, the importance of teaching civic engagement in schools, and why he believes all politics is local.
