Emily Dickinson Museum Restoration Project

Like many museums, the Emily Dickison Museum in Amherst has been closed for over a year due to COVID-19. And the museum will not be reopening any time soon, thanks to a massive renovation project that will restore the Dickinson family home.

Connecting Point visits the museum for a preview of the planned changes, and to learn how the poet’s legacy is resonating a little more during the pandemic.

And more western Mass stories tonight…

Rep. Bud Williams discusses ensuring COVID vaccine equity in communities of color disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, and how four neighborhood clinics are rolling out vaccines to underserved residents in Springfield.

Then, teen leadership group participant Isra Nadeem and group co-facilitators Monica Moran and JAC Patrissi share why it’s important to have honest discussions about healthy dating relationships with teens.

Finally, the city of Springfield recently drained Lake Massaoit, which borders Springfield College, to clean-up debris and make much-needed repairs to a dam on the lake.
