On Memorial Day, we pause as a nation, and remember the brave members of our military who gave their lives to defend our liberty. In Florence, people gathered for the town’s 150th Memorial Day Parade —the oldest continuously run parade of its kind in the nation. This year’s Parade Grand Marshal is World War II Veteran Edward “Red” Morrissey. He sat down with Carolee McGrath to share why on this day and every day, people should remember the incredible sacrifices made to protect freedom.
