Police and crime investigators in Massachusetts could have a new tool in their arsenal to solve cold cases. State Senator Anne Gobi and State Representative Todd Smola are co-sponsoring a bill to allow expanded use of familial DNA testing in criminal cases. Proponents of familial DNA testing say it could help investigators solve cold cases like the Molly Bish case. Rep. Smola joined Connecting Point‘s Ray Hershel to share more about this new DNA testing method and how it works.
