According to the 2010 US Census, 51% of Holyoke residents identified as Hispanic or Latinx. Holyoke Public Schools are responding to the city’s changing demographics by offering dual language education in English and Spanish. The district is the first in western Mass to embrace this innovative and immersive bilingual learning method. Carolee McGrath visit the Joseph E.
