I can’t believe there’s less than a month before season 4 of Connecting Point ends. It feels as if we were just starting the season back in October. How fast time flies!
Our first episode talked about the very important topic of bullying –both between children and in the workplace– we also talked to Representative John Scibak about anti-bullying legislation he helped pass in Massachusetts. Also, another important topic? Concussions. League of Denial was premiering on Frontline and in conjunction with that, we talked about what’s being done locally to prevent it. Jim Madigan talked with Dr. Zachary Morowitx from Baystate and Jay Fraga, founder of The Knockout Project. I went out to UMass Amherst to learn about their way to treat and prevent concussions on their football team.
Our final episode will be June 13th- I hope you’ll tune in and watch it. Of course, all of our segments go online so at any time you can re-watch and then share them with family and friends.
So what’s on the agenda for the summer? I’d still love to touch base with all Connecting Point viewers like yourself- you can find me on social media. I just created a new Facebook page, or if you’re more of a tweeter, follow me on Twitter. And, of course, the good ol’ fashioned way of sending an email is still an option! Send me a note or suggestion at .
I’ll be doing some traveling and will make sure to keep you updated via pictures on social media so you can “come along” for the ride. Also, I’ll be practicing ballroom style dance routines for a fun and unique fundraising event coming up in October for the Kiwanis Club of West Springfield and Agawam. I’ll have more details for you soon!
But let’s make this last month of Connecting Point our strongest yet! Don’t forget- every Monday, Thursday and Friday night at 7:30 we’re connecting you with the people, places and ideas that matter most to western New England!
