American Graduate: Holyoke High RISE Program

The RISE program at Holyoke High is for students with special needs, matching them up with upperclassmen from the honors program to help them. A component of the RISE program involves ice skating at the Fitzpatrick Rink, and so Carolee McGrath laced up her skates and took to the ice to find out more.

Longmeadow Gun Vote

In Longmeadow, a big vote is coming up at the annual town meeting on May 10th. Alex Grant is a selectman in town, but as a private citizen he has filed three new gun control bylaws which will be debated and voted on during the town meeting. Carolee McGrath sat down with him to find out more about the proposals and why he chose to file them.

BioBlitz

A BioBlitz is a gathering of scientists and volunteers whose mission it is find and identify all of the wildlife in a particular area in just one day. This Saturday, April 30th, Elms College will host a BioBlitz at Chicopee Memorial State Park. Carolee McGrath sits down with the organizers to find out more.
