E-Cigarettes

Over 4 million Americans are using e-cigarettes to either kick the smoking habit or for recreational usage but most don’t know the potential health risks associated with them. Sara Moriarty from Gandara Center is Program Director of Hampden County’s Tobacco Free Community Partnership and talks about how “e-cigs” differ from regular cigarettes. While the e-cigs don’t have tobacco in them, they do have nicotine which can just be as bad for your health. Also, the FDA has hardly any regulations concerning these so states and towns are left to enforce their own laws regarding them.
