Syrian Relief
With the terror attacks in Paris, the crisis in Syria has become even more magnified. There is great debate over how to handle the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees fleeing from their war torn homeland. According to French officials, the mastermind of the massacre appears to have slipped into France using the refugee crisis as his shield.
While politicians debate whether or not to take in refugees in the US, there is a local woman who is committed to helping refugees closer to their homeland in Jordan. Connecting Point’s Carolee McGrath spoke to Gina Panzieri, owner of Small Business Solutions in Belchertown, about her new non-profit, Atlantic Humanitarian Relief.

Disability Awareness
Autism is a neurodevelopment disorder, and some of the symptoms of autism spectrum disorder include repetitive patterns of behavior and involve difficulty with social interaction. Carolee McGrath spoke with John Robinson, a local author, successful business owner and father who speaks candidly about his own struggles with Asperger syndrome, which is on the autism spectrum, and Dawn Tallaksen, the co-president of the Special Education Alliance of Longmeadow, whose fourth child has autism about their efforts to raise awareness for support of those dealing with autism.

Making It Here: Berkshire Bark
In 1993, owners, David Renner and Kevin Schmitz began their mission to bring their extensive culinary backgrounds from French kitchens to Berkshire County and opened the Marketplace Kitchen. Since then they have been providing wholesome food that everyone can enjoy including a traditional chocolate creation known as Berkshire Bark.
