World Eye Bookstore has been a fixture in downtown Greenfield for more than 40 years! Current owner Jessica Mullins is committed to running the shop not just as an independent bookstore, but as a community center. She shared her passion for that idea during a recent visit with contributing producer Marla Zippay & videographer Mark Langevin.
Tobacco Bill
Recently, a bill passed the state senate which would raise the minimum buying age of tobacco from 18 to 21. Most senators voted in favor, while two voted against. Senator Don Humason from the second Hampden Hampshire District was one of the dissenters. He joined Carolee McGrath to explain why he thinks this issue to be left to local communities and to legal adults to decide the best course of action.

Life with Monte: Holyoke Fish Lift
Each Spring New Englanders have the opportunity to view an incredible natural phenomenon. The American Shad and other anadromous fish make their way up the Connecticut River to begin their natural spring migration. In tonight’s “Life with Monte” segment WRSI Radio personality Monte Belmonte heads to the Barrett Fishway at the Holyoke Dam to see how these fish receive a helping hand or more accurately a helping elevator ride over the dam before continuing on their journey up stream.
